Picture in Picture (PIP) and Picture by Picture (PBP) lets the user use your monitor simultaneously with two attached computers. Setting Up Multiple Monitor With PIP, PBP, or KVM When connected in a Daisy-Chain setup, both monitors are in clone mode. Note: Macs with USB-C (DP Alt Mode) do not support monitor Daisy-Chaining. The resolution supported by the Daisy-Chained monitors may be lower, depending on the bandwidth required by each monitor. To perform a monitor Daisy-Chain, the Mac must have a Thunderbolt 3 port, and the first monitor (connected directly to the Mac) must also support Thunderbolt 3 (example: Dell UP2720Q monitor).

Typically, the Mac can support up to two monitors using a Daisy-Chain setup (one monitor directly connected to the Mac and another monitor connected to the first monitor).Macs support monitor Daisy-Chain using USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
